If we could describe Ashily in one phrase, it would be that she cares. She cares about understanding and telling our unique story, she cares about her craft, and she cares about creating a seamless experience from start to finish. We first met Ashily and David for our engagement shoot, and they made us feel so comfortable and confident by guiding and encouraging us throughout. Due to COVID, we ended up cancelling our large wedding and opted for an intimate 10-person ceremony instead, and they were with us on every change without missing a beat. Our wedding photos turned out perfectly, and if it weren’t for the photo of us wearing masks, you wouldn’t even know that we had a small backyard ceremony during a global pandemic. They really knocked it out of the park! From our first conversation with Ashily and David at a café, it was clear that their main interest was in getting to know us as a couple. Every time someone sees our wedding photos, they cannot believe that it only took 2 months to plan and execute because of how well-portrayed the photos are. My then fiancé, David, and I had a pretty short engagement (5.5 months!) due to venue and family member availability. I didn’t mind it but I knew I wasn’t going to sacrifice quality just because we had less time to plan! We knew photos would be important and I also knew that we were both totally not the personality types to enjoy being in front of the camera. Whenever there’s a group photo called for, we’re usually done after 1. So I knew it would be important to have a photographer(s) who would make both of us feel comfortable. My husband and I wanted to do a destination wedding in Hawaii. We’ve never been to Hawaii, so there were many uncertainties on planning a wedding in Hawaii. Pictures last a lifetime, and that's exactly what Ashily & David from Vo Photo Co did for us! When planning for our wedding we searched and searched for a photographer that could meet our needs and capture our love. Basically, someone who could really get us. Ashily and David catered to exactly what we were looking for. A little unorthodox, but I was looking for a Winter/Rustic/Twilight themed engagement and wedding photos and that’s exactly what we got.
